Enrollment is open for the Davis Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Institute.

It includes monthly all-day sessions from September through June of next year, said Jim Smith, chamber president.

The institute exposes students to various leadership styles, tourism on Antelope Island, Utah’s Capitol Hill and the governor, marketing with experts, continuous improvement exercises, a review of local government and more.

The cost is $995 per student. For-profit businesses based in Davis County may be eligible for a substantial discount through the Davis Applied Technology College’s Custom Fit training program.

LAYTON — Lt. Gov. Greg Bell didn’t mince words Wednesday afternoon in his keynote address for the Davis Chamber of Commerce Business-to-Business Expo at the Davis Conference Center.

Recounting both the good and the bad, he pointed to strengths in Davis County from the area’s strong partnership and support of Hill AFB to “a lack of walls” between different government entities.
