Todd WeilerTodd Weiler grew up in Illinois and is the 3rd of 6 children in his family. At the age of 17, he graduated early from High School and came to Utah to attend BYU. He took courses year round, while working at Pizza Hut to support himself through college. He was also the president of Deseret Towers, which are the dorms at BYU where 2,000 students live. He served a mission to Frankfurt, Germany from 1986 to 1988, then returned to BYU to resume his studies, while again working two jobs, one of which was as a teacher at the M.T.C. He graduated from BYU with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business in 1990, at the age of 22.

One year later, he met Elizabeth Gordon. They were engaged after six weeks, and were married six weeks after that. They have now been happily married for almost 15 years and are the parents four children.

Todd went back to BYU to attend Law School, two years after he and Elizabeth were married. Todd D. Weiler is an attorney with Dorsey & Whitney, an international law firm with 650 attorneys. His practice centers on commercial litigation, with specialization in cases involving business law, real estate law and municipal law. He has taken approximately 100 cases to trial.

Prior to joining Dorsey, Mr. Weiler was a partner with Parry Anderson & Gardiner, P.C. He has been selected as one of Utah Business Magazine's "Legal Elite" in 2007 and 2008. He is a 1996 graduate of Brigham Young University's J. Reuben Clark Law School. He also has a B.S. in Business Administration from BYU. Mr. Weiler was a member of the Woods Cross City Council from 1999–2003, was chairman of the Davis County Republican Party from 2003–2007, and has been Vice Chairman of the Utah Republican Party since 2007. Mr. Weiler has been on the board of directors of the Davis Chamber of Commerce since 2002, and is currently serving as Chairman of the Board.

Brad WilsonBrad Wilson is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Destination Homes. Since its inception in 1991, Brad and his partner have led Destination Homes to become one of the top home builders in Utah. Brad is also an owner of Discovery Development, Destination Holdings and Preferred Realty.

He was the Associate Vice President of American Express Financial Advisors Utah office until 2001 where he managed over 50 advisors and staff members. While at American Express, Brad helped lead the Salt Lake City office to the number one division office in the United States.

Brad has his B.S., in Business Administration from Weber State University and is a Certified Financial Planner.

He is married to Jeni Critchlow Wilson and has three children, two girls, and one boy ages 6, 3, and 1. He enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, exercise, boating, and reading. He is an active member of the Young President’s Organization, and serves on the board of directors for the Davis County Chamber of Commerce and Children’s Aid Society. He is a member of the International Association of Financial Planners, National Association of Home Builders, the NAHB Sales and Marketing Council.

Vaughn JacobsenVaughn was hired at the Standard in 1980 as a District Manger in the Circulation department, earning his way through school. He learned all facets of the department and was promoted to Assistant Circulation Director in 1990. Vaughn left the Standard in 1994 taking a Circulation Director position at the Gallop (N.M.) Independent. He returned to Utah, utilizing his skills as a general contractor, and managed a local construction company. Vaughn returned to the Standard in 1997 as Circulation Director. In 2003, he was promoted to his current position of Business Manager. Vaughn currently has responsibility for operations at the main facility in Ogden but also responsible for the growth of the newspaper in Davis County.

Vaughn is active in the Layton Rotary, the Davis Arts Council and the Davis Chamber. Vaughn enjoys boating, hiking, skiing, fishing and hunting. He holds degrees in Business and Accounting. He and his wife, Michelle, have 3 grown children (2 daughters and 1 son). They reside in Layton.

Trent Brown has worked for Lagoon Corporation for the last 14 years. He has served as the Marketing Manager, Park Director, Fun Time Club Administrator, Web content Manager, Assistant Group Sales Manager, Sales Representative and a performer.

Trent is a member of the Davis Chamber of Commerce and serves on the Media and public relations committee. Trent graduated with a degree in Botany from Weber State University in 1998. He received several scholarships for his vocal and academic accomplishments. Trent was a member of Sigma Xi (science honor society), Phi Kappa Phi (honor society), and Golden Key National Honor Society.

While in High School, Trent was awarded the Sterling Scholar in Spanish. Trent served a full time mission for the Church of Jesus Chris of Latter Day Saints from 1992-1994 in Brazil. Trent is currently a resident of Layton, and has two children Sadie and Spencer.

James BehuninJames has served on the Chamber Board since January 2006 -- shortly after taking office as Mayor of West Bountiful City. James and his wife Kathy and their children Aaron, Matt, Rachel, and Alison have lived in West Bountiful since 1989. When James is not attending to city matters, he likes to spend his time exploring the Utah wilderness with his family, playing golf at the Lakeside golf course in West Bountiful, or working in his garden. Professionally, James works for the Utah State Legislature in the Office of the Legislative Auditor General.

Chantel is a dynamic individual that seeks to actively influence and inspire growth and personal development. She has passion for mentoring and seeing successful women in the business community. Because of her drive she served as Program Director, Vice-Chair, Chair in 2007 and finally, Past Chair and Athena Representative in 2008. Chantel is an active member of the Davis Chamber of Commerce, first year Board of Director Member and is also a Lakesider.

Chantel grew up in Roy Utah, daughter of Mitchell and Susan Sherman. She graduated early from high school and started her career in banking at the age of 18. As a teller she consistently excelled and worked her way through the ranks. She is currently Vice President and Private Banker at Bank of the West where her focus is improving lives through financial solutions.

She thrives on developing meaningful relationships with her clients and serving as their advocate within the bank. She has a desire to contribute to our community by bringing enthusiasm and diversity to our chamber board.

After spending two years at Weber State University, Chantel took a break from school to start her family. She is a devoted wife and mother of two beautiful boys. Currently Chantel is attending University of Phoenix majoring in Business Management. She loves the challenge of creating balance between home, work, school, and community.

Mary Ann FlindersMary Ann Flinders is currently employed as a Customer Relations Manager for L-3 Communications Engineering and Technical Services. L-3 Communications is a large defense company that provides a multitude of products and services related to homeland security and the defense industry.

Prior to her current position, Ms. Flinders worked 14 years for the Utah Department of Business and Economic Development, in a variety of areas. Her most recent position was Associate Director, Utah National Business Recruiting Office. Prior to her State employment she worked at the Bureau of Reclamation and Hill Air Force Base in contracting positions.

She graduated Cum Laude from Weber State University with a Bachelor of Integrated Studies Degree and an Associate Degree.

Ms. Flinders’ professional affiliations include: Board of Directors member for the Davis County Chamber of Commerce, Recording Secretary for the Air Force Association Industrial Associates, member of the National Contract Management Association, member of the Air Force Association (AFA), alumni Hill AFB LOGSTAR and member of the Logistics Officer’s Association (LOA).

Commissioner Alan Hansen, Board Member - (801) 451-3200

Alan HansenCommissioner Alan Hansen is a lifelong resident of Davis County. He was born and raised in Sunset and graduated from Clearfield High School. He has a technical certificate from Weber State University. He has been involved in politics and community service since 1972. He has been a county and state delegate for the Republican Party. He has served on the Clearfield City Planning Commission as a member and vice-chair. He also served as a member of the Clearfield City Council.

In Alan’s professional career, he has been in marketing & promotions. Prior to becoming Commissioner, he was working at Pinnacle Marketing Communications and was involved in the tourism trade publication division for the hotel industry and convention and visitors bureaus in the state of Utah.

As a member of his community, Alan has volunteered for in the Boy Scouts of America as a leader and merit badge counselor for over 25 years. He is active in his church and their youth activities.

Michael Jensen has served as Chief Executive Officer of Davis Hospital and Medical Center since January 2002. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Brigham Young University in 1989. He continued his education at the University of Iowa and obtained his M.B.A., as well as an M.A. in Hospital and Health Administration in 1992. Prior to becoming CEO of Davis Hospital, Mr. Jensen served as Chief Operating Officer of Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center, Tenet HealthSystem, in Palm Beach, Floida.

At the present time, Mr. Jensen is very active in several community service activities; i.e.: Board of Directors, Vice-Chair, Davis County School District Foundation: May 2004 to present, Board of Directors, Vice-Chair, Davis Applied Technology College, Advisory Board Chairman, Dumke College of Health Professions, Weber State University Board of Directors and Legislative Affairs Committee Member, Davis Chamber of Commerce Advisory Board, Children’s Aid Society Board of Directors, Williamsburg West, San Diego, CA. A non-profit public benefit historical organization. May 1988 to present, Utah Hospital Association, Chair of Political Action Committee.

Shelly Nettesheim, Board Member - (801) 614-1671
Company: Apple Village Retirement  

Shelly Nettesheim is the Marketing and Community Relations Director for Apple Tree (Kaysville), Apple Village (Layton), and Gardens (Ogden) Assisted Living facilities. For the last five years, Shelly has been dedicated to raising the community’s awareness of senior citizen issues. She feels fortunate to serve the needs of the “Greatest Generation” and enjoys the wisdom she gains from them.

For several years, Shelly has been very involved with local and national organizations. She is a current member of American Diabetes Association (ADA), Utah Alzheimer’s Association, Utah Assisted Living Association (UALA), and Davis and Odgen/Weber Chambers. She has served as both a fundraiser chair and corporate recruiter for the ADA and the Alzheimer’s Association. Shelly served as conference chair and board member for UALA. She is past chair for the Davis Chamber Women in Business and currently serves as the Athena Coordinator.

Shelly has her B.S. in Marketing from the University of Utah and an A.S. in Business Management from Salt Lake Community College. Her work experience includes employment in the software, mining, and soft drink industries. Shelly also enjoyed owning and operating a children’s consignment store in rural Colorado.

She is the seventh of eleven children and spent most of her childhood helping her family farm in the West Desert of Utah. All eleven children reside in Utah and remain very close. Shelly, her mom, and her sisters recently returned from their annual “Sister Trip” to South Dakota and visited both the Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse Monuments.

Shelly is married with four children and one grandchild. Her oldest daughter attends BYU Law School and her oldest son attends Weber State University. Shelly’s youngest children are still enjoying grade school.

She likes spending time with her family and discovering the Northern Utah area.

Brent Petersen is one of our new Board members for 2006. Brent is employed with the Davis Applied Technology College in Kaysville as the Vice President of Operations. He received a Master of Rehabilitation Administration at the University of San Francisco. Prior to that he received a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in French & Psychology at Arizona State University. Brent has been the Treasurer, Secretary and President-Elect of the Kaysville Rotary Club. He has also served as the Chair of the Northern Regional Executive Council and Vice President of the North Davis Exchange Club. Brent was previously on the Chamber Board of Directors in 2000. Brent gives back generously to his community through his volunteerism on several Boards and committees such as Davis Cable 17 advisory board, Wasatch North Regional Council, South Weber City Council the Foundation Development Committee and several others.

We are excited to have Brent on the Board and looking forward to his involvement on our Board of Directors.

Ryan PollRyan has spent most of the last 18 years as a Davis County resident. He completed most of his public education through Davis County Schools. He enjoys residing in the area and is a strong advocate to see the county continue to grow and to prosper. Because his business is located in Davis County, Ryan’s long-term plans are to reside and to be an active participant in the affairs of Davis County.

Family is an important part of Ryan’s life. He and his wife Katherine are parents of two young children. Abigail is 18 months old while newly born Spencer is just 9 weeks old. Since the arrival of Spencer, life for the Poll family has become a little bit more interesting for both daytime and nighttime hours. With that being said, Ryan couldn’t be happier with his current family situation. He loves being a husband and a dad.

For the past 7 years, helping others make money through appropriate investments has played a large part of Ryan’s professional life. Ryan is a Financial Advisor for Raymond James Investments in Layton, Utah. He helps individuals and small businesses make wise investment decisions with their long-term money. At times, Ryan’s clients have compared him to being a financial coach-- one who will coach them to financial independence. Even with the latest market turbulence, Ryan loves his job and believes he adds value for those who seriously want to achieve their financial goals. He plans to spend his entire professional life assisting his clients with their important money decisions.

Ryan is excited about his opportunity to serve on the Board of Directors for the Davis Chamber of Commerce. He is amazed as to the various ways the chamber provides true value for businesses here in Davis County. He is excited about being a small part of an organization that is committed to make the place where we work and live better.

Barbara RiddleBarbara has over 20 years experience in the tourism and hospitality industry. She is currently serving as President/CEO of the Davis Area Convention & Visitors Bureau, a not-for-profit organization contracted with Davis County to market conventions, meetings, and tourism in Davis County.

She previously held positions as Executive Director of the Ogden Eccles Conference Center/Peery’s Egyptian Theatre, Director of Sales and Marketing for GES Exposition Services in SLC, Director of Convention Services for the Salt Lake Convention & Visitors Bureau, and Program Coordinator for Utah State University Conference & Institute Division where she gained experience planning meetings and conferences.

Barbara was born in Tremonton, Utah and lived with her family in Wyoming, Montana, Kanab and Moab, Utah. She graduated from High School in Fairfax County, Virginia and then returned to Utah to attend Utah State University. She has lived in Davis County since 1989. Barbara, her husband Scott, and two children reside in Fruit Heights. In her spare time she enjoys golfing, skiing, reading, and horseback riding.

Neka RoundyNeka Roundy is a graduate of Brigham Young University with a B.S. in Recreation Education and Youth Leadership and a M.A. in Community School Leadership. She also holds a Community College Teaching certificate from California.

As a new resident (thirty years ago) to the wonderful community of Kaysville, she became involved with the city recreation programs. She was a PTA board member at the elementary, junior high, and Davis High schools and served as a member of the Kaysville Planning Commission. She was elected to the Kaysville City Council and served there for six years before being elected Mayor.

One of Neka’s ‘assignments’ from the Davis County Council of Governments is the Davis Chamber of Commerce Board. This is a great assignment and a unique opportunity to meet many people in the Davis County community.

Neka works for Davis County Community and Economic Development. Some projects she is involved with include volunteers at Antelope Island State Park, Great Salt Lake Bird Festival, and Antelope by Moonlight Bike Ride. For nine years she did the tourism promotion for Davis County.

Neka and her husband Steve, a junior high school teacher, are the parents of four children- 3 daughters, 1 son and have added 1 son-in-law and 2 grand-daughters.

Neka is a member of Utah League of Cities and Towns, American Association of University Women, and Friends of Antelope Island. She enjoys her family, reading and travel.

Chris WilliamsChris serves as the Community Relations Director of the Davis School District. He is a former president of the Utah School Public Relations Association and Idaho School Public Relations Association and has received numerous awards from the National School Public Relations Association. He worked for eight years as a print and radio journalist in Utah, Nevada, California and Idaho before entering the public relations field. He holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from Utah State University and is pursuing a master's degree in professional communication from Westminster College. He chairs the chamber’s Davis Cable 17 Advisory Committee and is a member of the chamber’s Legislative Affairs Committee. He is also a native of Buffalo, N.Y. and loves hockey, basketball, canoeing and photography.
